COURSE INFO OUTLINE:

APPLICATIONS and ELIGIBILITY:
Applications are online only through the form below.

  • Applicants should be enrolled in a undergraduate program in an accredited College or University.
  • Applicants must submit a video recording of their voice repertoire (10 minutes total, including two contrasting musical styles).
  • Applicants must include the contact info (e-mail and phone number) for a reference, either the applicant’s principal teacher or a mentor who has worked with the applicant within the past three years, whom we can contact regarding your performance abilities.

The deadline for the application (digital timestamp) is March 1, 2024 at midnight PST.

ACCEPTANCE NOTIFICATION:
Applicants will be notified of their admission to the course on a rolling basis after their application has been evaluated.
Students admitted to the Summer Study Abroad Program (6-week and 3-week) are given 7 days from the communication of their admission to pay the deposit of USD 500.00 to enroll, or decline the offer.
The deposit is NON REFUNDABLE and it will be applied toward the tuition. The tuition balance is due on May 1, 2024.

Failure to pay the tuition balance may result in forfeiture of the student’s place at the Summer Study Abroad Program 2024.

FEES AND IMPORTANT DATES

IMPORTANT DATES:

– Application deadline: March 1, 2024
– Admissions decision: by March 15, 2024

OFFICIAL PROGRAM DATES:
– Program starts on Monday May 20, 2024
– Program ends on Friday, June 7th, 2024 (3-week program)
– Program ends on Thursday, June 27, 2024
– Students check in in Siena: Sunday May 19, by 7:00 PM
– Students must vacate apartments on June 8th  by 12:00 noon (3-week program)
– Students must vacate apartments on June 28th  by 12:00 noon (6-week program)

FEES:
The course fees are:
– USD 3,500.00 (3-week program) (tuition + housing in double room in the Chigiana Residence apartments)
– USD 7,500.00 (6-week program) (tuition + housing in double room in the Chigiana Residence apartments)
– USD 500.00 (supplement for single room)

FEES INCLUDE:
Instruction, housing in double room (single room optional for additional fee) program orientations (online pre-departure orientation & onsite orientation),  cultural activities,  participation in the Primavera Chigiana Festival, welcome dinner, farewell reception, student services assistance, card to the University of Siena canteen, field trip to Venice, Italy (6-week program only), professional audio and video recording of the final concert at the Primavera Chigiana Festival in Siena.

FEES DO NOT INCLUDE:
Transportation to and from the US, regular meals, and personal expenses.

PAYMENT TERMS:
The balance should be paid no later than May 1, 2024, to:
FRIENDS OF CHIGIANA INC., a non-profit organization 501(c)(3) registered in the State of New York.
Payment methods are: Zelle (preferred), Bank wire, PayPal.
Payment details will be communicated upon confirmation of admission.
